WORKSHOP ONE: LEARNING TO PLAY GUITAR IN TWO WEEKS

“To learn guitar in two weeks - is that really possible?”
Of course not - The guitar is wide-ranged, its technique rather complex… but, with a reliable system, you can learn the first and most important basics during (over) two week-ends - and more than you would learn in a months-long weekly course!
We will: explore playfully the world of rhythm, learn to play melodies in the first guitar position, get angry at our stubborn fingers; we will gladfully hear the first self-played chords, and be happy about the beautiful sounds we will create together. Sheet playing will be discovered - and managed! almost casually as well.
At the end there is a knowledge of the guitar and its sounds and possibilities that you can built on, be it by self-studies or with a qualified teacher.

The condition for the learning success is to practice one daily hour in between the weekends. This time should be scheduled at any rate. If you have not got a guitar yourself, you can rent Spanish Quality Guitars, handpicked in Spain, from your instructor. Own guitars should have nylon strings. A foot stand - available at any music store - makes intense playing much easier and will prevent problems of your back!
